Bulk OEM Cable
Our Bulk OEM Cables are lightweight and can reduce the weight of an aircraft by up to 200 pounds.
Frontgrade FC-Z lightweight cable is typically 50% - and as much as 67% - lighter than MIL-DTL-17 RG cable and half the outside diameter. While smaller and lighter, Frontgrade OEM cable assemblies feature lower insertion loss and higher reliability than heavy RG cable, yet is rugged, easy to terminate and reduces installation labor costs thanks to its superior flexibility and ease of installation.
Our cables are certified by the FAA to the requirements of FAR Part 25.1359 (d) Appendix F for flammability. It also meets military specifications of the U.S. and other governments and NATO.
High Performance Lightweight
High Performance Lightweight Cable Assemblies
The Frontgrade FA31RXLW is a high performance, lightweight version of our proven FA29RX cable assembly designed for commercial airborne applications.
The FA29RX assembly is a DC to 18 GHz, 0.31-inch diameter cable, operational at temperatures up to +200°C. The reduced weight version (FA31RXLW) uses a silver-plated, copper-clad aluminum center conductor and silver-plated aluminum shielding and exhibits a greater than 32% weight reduction with no performance loss.
