SpaceVPX RPM-PS I/O Mezzanine (IOM-PS)
Frontgrade’s IOM-PS is an XMC+ I/O Expansion Mezzanine card designed to plug onto the RPM-PS; providing a range of common I/O interfaces beyond those already provided on the RPM-PS.
The Input/Output XMC+ Mezzanine (IOM) is a companion daughter card designed to plug onto the RPM-PS XMC+ mezzanine connector. This I/O expansion card does not directly plug into a SpaceVPX plug-in slot within the RPS or RPS-9X, but instead interfaces expansion I/O signals to the front panel of the box and transfers signals to the I/O facilities local to the RPM. The IOM provides 5 ports of 100/1000Base-TX ethernet, 4 SpW, 3 RS-422,Inputs, 1 RS-422 Output, 3 LVDS inputs, 1 LVDS output, 1 LVTTL/LVCMOS input and 4 LVTTL/LCMOS outputs.
The standard IOM-PS hardware boasts the following features and attributes:
Data Rates / Connectivity
- Five 100Base-TX/1000Base-T PHY’s, with RGMII presented to the base card
- Four SpaceWire level translators of up to 200 Mbps per port, with single ended I/O presented to the base card
- Three RS422 input level translators, with single ended I/O presented to the base card
- One RS422 Output level translator, with single ended I/O from the base card
- Discrete IOs:
- 3 LVDS input level translators, with single ended I/O presented to the base card
- 1 LVDS output level translator, with single ended I/O from the base card
- 1 LVTTL/LVCMOS input level translator, with 1.5V I/O presented to the base card
- 4 LVTTL/LVCMOS output level translators, with 1.5V I/O from the base card
